  1. Hello Roqayah,

Very moving piece of article you wrote here. In many ways I felt and to some extent still feel the same about what happened. With what is happening now in Bahrain, Syria and Yemen or what has been heppening in Tunisia and Egypt - I mean the way things have been evolving - the joy procured by the fall of the Tunisian and Egyptian dictators has faded, for reasons I am still trying to understand, one of these reasons being maybe to admit and recognize the bitter reality that wants Arab countries's future already in the hands of foreign offices abroad; the youth of Tunisia and Egypt can chant about freedom and democracy as much and as loud as they want, freedom and democracy remaining mere "slogans" in their very situations.

I would appreciate if you could share your opinion about present day situation in Egypt vs. aspirations of the egyptian liberation movement since the fall of Mbarak.

PS: I really like your snapshots - I was in the same "state of mind" at the moment of taking pictures last time I was in Cairo - Keep up the good work -

    My Best -

  2. They do own some of our present and future, especially when it comes to foreign policies, because of some economic pacts our leaders had signed. Regardless, they had nothing to do with these revolutions and uprisings, and those should mark the features of the future of this region.

  3. I am not saying they had to do with these revolutions and uprisings - I am simply saying, to make a long story short, that the "features of the future of this region" are already being designed out of this region, in foreign offices aborad or perhaps in Egypt, Tunisia and Yemen but in foreign ambassies. Sovereignity were sold like you said.
